Don’t Buy An Espresso Brewer Before You Understand This

If you happen to be a coffee lover like i am then that is plenty good enough rationale to buy an espresso machine.

If you are anything like me you'll bank tons of money by having the ability to churn out your personal cup of espresso at home as an alternative to forking out money at pricey coffee shops and restaurants. Chances are you will not be able to tell your homemade drinks apart from the expensive ones from the shops.

You want to take a couple of things into consideration though before you move out and place a purchase.

The process of brewing the most excellent espresso achievable takes a bit more than simply a fast compress of blistering water through your coffee.

If you don't do it perfectly, then you might as well use the previous battered coffee pot.

In order to get that perfect cup that has no bitter taste to it, you need to extract the flavor from the beans but leave the oils behind. This is something that is not difficult to do with a quality espresso maker. Having a frothing wand on your espresso machine is most likely the finest accessory you can have for it. With this unit you have the ability to foam up your milk like the pros do for those delicious cappuccino drinks. . Some espresso machines also have the ability to grind its own fresh coffee, so getting the appropriate grind for your espresso becomes a breeze. For those folks that need and want it all, there is what is known as the all in one espresso machine.

These machines give you the choice on whether you want to drink just regular coffee or if you want the high octane espresso.

The vast majority of these all in one models are also programmable so you can have your coffee waiting for you when you want it. This type of machine is pure luxury if you are the kind of person who looks forward to waking up to a freshly brewed coffee in the morning without having to go to the bother of making it yourself. Simply program it and turn it on and it will do everything for you.

You only have to do one or two small things and that is to pour and enjoy.

There are not surprisingly alternatives to Espresso Coffee Machines. Many people prefer the old style percolator pot and there are some alternative pots that cater to these people as well which make a fine brew of espresso. An example of a more popular brand is the Moka pot which has both a standard stovetop version and a plug in variety.

In this setup you have a pot with two separated chambers, one for water, and one for coffee.

These chambers are separated by a filter in the middle. Basically how it works is the water heats creating pressure, which in turn forces the steam up through the coffee grounds and then into the top compartment where it combines to make Espresso. While Moka pots work reasonably well of course they won't make as fine a cup of coffee as a dedicated espresso machine. As an alternative to using the Moka pot, there is also what is known as a French press.

There is nothing more to using this machine than having the ability to boil water and dump it out over coffee.

Then all you have to do is let it brew for a few minutes before using a filter type plunger to separate the grounds from the coffee. Although these espresso makers are not that expensive and they are quite easy to clean and use, in my honest opinion it does not create a great cup of espresso. This is because the coffee grounds sit in the water for too long, which can create a rather bitter taste to the coffee. As you can see there is a bit to know about espresso coffee before you go out and buy a new coffee pot or brewing machine. As a warning though be prepared because when you become accustomed to having the real thing all the time it will be hard to settle for anything less than the greatest. Have fun and enjoy!
