Herbal Treatments To Increase Fertility Part Two




This is part 2 of a 3 part series about organic and natural herbal treatments that can increase the chances of pregnancy. This three part series focuses on old style and less well known natural substances that have been traditionally used to cure infertility in women having trouble conceiving. Red clover, wild carrot, dried clover blossom and wild yams were some of the plants discussed in part one that have been used for hundreds of years to increase the chances of pregnancy in women. There are more plants and some tinctures and combinations of natural herbs that will be discussed in section two to increase fertility.

Look for the Mitchella blooming in your area in the Spring. (The berries are glossy red and come out in the forest during the Winter and Spring) This can be made into a medicinal vinegar by adding fresh leaves to apple cider vinegar and letting it soak. Cover with some grease-proof paper held in place with a rubber band and label the bottle with the date, this must sit at room temperature for 6 weeks before it is ready.

This tasty vinegar preparation can be used as salad dressing or a topping for beans, but use no more than one tablespoon. The herb liferoot is also known as Senecio aureus begins to bloom with gorgeous gold flowers around my upstate Long Island swamp and also along the roads where the soil is loose and full of nutrients.

This amazing wild flower has medicinal uses for all its parts. The root can be poisonous so I limit use to the flowers and leaves which are harvested while in bloom and processed quickly. Three to eight drops of this tincture, taken for fourteen days out of each month will increase libido and stabilize the menstrual cycle to relieve unpleasant menstrual symptoms and increase fertility. Senecia Jacobia and Senecio Vulgaris are related herbs that can also be used.
