It isn't that most people set too high of a goal and fail, it's much more common for people to set too low of goals and succeed.

I'm sure this is not the first time this thought has been conveyed to you, but it may be the first time you actually “felt” what it meant. Despite the accepted belief, we are all capable of deciding what level of life we want to play at.

The amazing thing that surprises me is how many people have chosen to play a small game instead of a bigger game of life.

The confusing part of it is how most people will think the process to living a more prosperous and successful life, is to identify what they want to “be” in the end. Next, they think they will create the steps on what to “do” to become this person. Finally, they concentrate on what they want to have. Let me tell you, this is completely backwards.

The real process to greater success in anything is to identify what you want to “have,” followed by what you must “do” to create it, and finally, what will you “be” after you possess your desired “have. “If you were to have a consultation with a champion who had won at anything, they will express to you their initial step in their process of succeeding was to focus on the results they wanted. Always think in terms of “results. ” Complete this sentence, “My main purpose is to have” Whatever you wrote down is the “results. ” Results are the end creation of what you want to possess or achieve. Results are very different than goals.

If you were to interview a winner in anything such as sports, business, finance, acting, etc. , they will tell you that the first course of action is to focus on the desired results.

You want to think of results as what you want to have. Complete this sentence, “My main goal is to have” What you write here are the results. This is different than goals. Results are the end result of what you desire to achieve or possess.

If you are acting in a constructive and positive manner toward accomplishing your results, you will eventually achieve the results you want.

If what you are doing is not in line with the results you want, you will NEVER achieve your desired results. At the end of your passage toward your results, you will become something. This will be your final manifestation of yourself for having followed through with your goals to achieve your desired results. What will you allow your life to be? Will you pitch it into the wind and try to guess how it will turn out, or will you “causatively” determine what right action to take and combine that with the right attitude? Make the decision what you want to have, do, and be. Keep in mind, problems will surface at all levels of life.

If you're playing a small game, you'll have problems.

If you're playing a big game, you'll have problems.

If problems will exist at any level of life, why not take the “high road” and live a bigger game. Live to your real potential and experience a totally different existence. When we think we've reached our maximum at anything, good or bad, the next moment shows us we still have plenty of room to grow and handle more. This is the process of upgrading your life to the next level that I teach others.
