Take The Beck Anxiety Inventory Test – Do You Have Anxiety?

It is easy to take the Beck anxiety inventory test to evaluate one's level of anxiety symptoms.

The inventory only requires that the person be aware of their feelings within the last one week in order to check whether the symptoms of anxiety are low, moderate or very high. During the test, the respondent can select an answer from four choices:*Not at all*Mildly (“but it doesn't affect me much”)* Moderately (“it was unpleasant at times”), and* Severely (“it bothered me greatly”).

The respondents must reflect on their answers according to the individual symptoms as detailed in the inventory.

These symptoms include: hot or cold sweats, feelings of dread, muscle tension and tingling sensations. Every answer is accompanied with a rating. At the end of the test, the ratings are tallied and the total score is used to determine the level of anxiety the respondent has.

The maximum score is 3
6.

If the score is in the range of 0 to 7, the respondent is known to have very low anxiety levels. Conversely, any score that is higher than 26 indicates a very high level of anxiety.

A middle score of 8 to 21 means that the respondent is suffering moderate anxiety level.

It can be interpreted that your body is trying to signal you to a situation.

There are many situations that can bring about a heightened sense of anxiety, such as taking centre stage or speaking publicly, during school examinations or even during moments when one has to be intimate with another person.

There are several calming techniques that one can use to revert to his normal state of mind. Any score above 22 is an indicator of very high anxiety levels, and is a cause for concern. This is by no means a sign of failure or personal weakness.

It is something that requires proactive measures of prevention before the anxiety becomes even more severe and affects your body and mind any further.
