The manufacturing of Indian jewelry has been started from many long years. Since that time the artists who made the Indian ornaments designed their ornaments by seeing the fruits, flowers, berries etc. they saw all these things in the environment and tried to make the ornaments of the same shape. Thus, various designs of jewelry were made. Earlier the Indian jewelry was made with the metals known as gold, silver, copper which were transformed into various designs.

The history gives the proof that the ancient people had a liking for the Indian ornaments. Around the period of third century B. C, India started exporting of the Indian jewelries and gained popularity in this field. Among the various metals that were used to make the Indian Jewelry, silver was used in most of the cases during the early days. As India has a huge collection of jewelries, it was considered as the golden bird.

The time when India was ruled by the kings, they had often a fight to grab the Indian ornaments.

The Indian jewelry was given different designs by mixing it with various other things like rudraksh, beads of sandalwood etc.

In India the tradition of manufacturing Indian ornaments is passed to one generation to the other.

The Indian jewelry has gained popularity because of the different varieties found in the ornaments.

There are different states in India and all of them have different styles of making jewelry. Like for example West Bengal is famous in making the terracotta's jewelry and Rajasthan is famous for making Kundan jewelry and the jewelry made with different stones attached to it.
