Calories are good to provide us with the amount of energy we need a day. However, too much of a good thing becomes a bad thing. And when you have too many calories in your body and you do not work out often, they slowly settle down and become part of you – Fats. What is the first thing that comes into your mind when you thinking about losing weight? Most people will probably answer “to go on a diet”. That is not a good way to lose weight as your body can adjust to the intake of calories and burn them according. Which means your body will only burn the calories that you had consumed instead of those fats in your body. Few days later you might had realised that your body weight might had gone down a bit but that is only the sign of your body losing some of its water.
You will definitely not want to torture yourself like that. (However, it is still advisable for you to cut down on junk food like soft drink, crackers and tidbits. )Instead, just maintain a healthy diet and eat what is “right” for your body. Even if you do not lose weight in the process, you will be pleased to know that your body is healthier than ever. On top of that, exercising is another good way to lose weight too. That is what everyone says and it is scientifically proven as well. However, the results do not come overnight.
You will need to put in your own effort by exercising at least 3 – 5 times a week doing exercises as relaxed as brisk walking for half an hour or other strenuous exercises including sports like jogging, basketball, table tennis, swimming, etc. Swimming is a good way to exercise your whole body as you will need to move your whole body to swim.
You will not sweat as much as compared to the other sports.
If none of these sports sounds appealing to you, I will recommend heading down to the gym and finding an instructor to instruct you on the best way to lose weight and keeping fit at the same time. Now before you rush to start on your fight against the calories, you might want to do an online search for “Weight Lose Calculator” to calculate the number of calories you need to lose per day to reach your desired weight. Losing weight is a long journey and do not give up half way just because it is too difficult to accomplish. Nothing in this world comes easy as well. An advice is to stop losing weight when you reached the ideal weight for your height. Losing any more weight will make you underweight which is bad for your body. Not to mention that having only skins and bones are not nice-looking as well! Remember to follow the right method to stay fit and healthy!
