The 21st of December 2012 has long been marked as very special date for mankind. Many people claim that this day will be the beginning of the end of times, while some people claimed that it will be the end of everything.

The last time this occurred was on a fall equinox some 6450 years ago, which archaeologists and experts put as the dawn of the Old World Civilizations.

The Mayans knew that the completion of each cycle is very important and they knew that this completion begins on the last winter solstice of our age – on December 21, 201
2. Now that we are coming near the end of this cycle, we are possibly nearing a time period that will reset everything.

The ancient, highly accurate long count calendar of the Mayas runs out of days on December 21, 2012 for a reason. Unfortunately, it is not the same as the reasons why our current calendar ends December 31.

It is a reason that should be feared and waited with anticipation at the same time.

The Mayans knew exactly what they were doing and they have a full understanding why it is a defining moment for mankind. But then again, expect for the prophecies of different seers and prophets across the centuries since the Old Civilizations arose, the Mayans did not describe the events leading to the end of our age.
