Doolin Hotel Guide – Top 5 Hotels In This County Clare Town

The choice of Doolin hotels and guest houses that are available is surprising given that this part of County Clare is a not one of the focal points for the regular tourist trail. That said the following five hotels would make a great location from which to take day-trips along the coast.

The town of Doolin has long been a destination point for tourists either heading over to the Aran Islands (on the Doolin ferry) or there to enjoy the traditional music that is played in Doolin's bars.

While there is no restaurant onsite the village is only a short walk away. Tir Gan Ean (Tir-gan-Ean) House Hotel: Possibly, the most modern accommodation in Doolin, the 12 ultra contemporary rooms reflect the stylish buildings design with rooms (singles/doubles/twin/family) proving to be comfortable and clean. Sheedys Country House Hotel: Further out of town, in the Burren region, lies this homely family-run hotel. Each room has been individually designed with modern conveniences. This is an ideal base from which to visit the Burren. Lahinch Hotel: This 4 star golf and leisure hotel with its own indoor pool has a great beach-side location. Golfers will enjoy playing the renowned Lahinch course while everyone will enjoy the hotel's own restaurant, bar and leisure facilities. Many Doolin hotels have raised their game to compete with neighboring hotels in Kerry & Cork so any of the above hotels would make a great base from which to visit the numerous tourist sites along this part of Ireland's west coast.
