Eft Tapping Without Words: Tune In And Tap

EFT Tapping, or Emotional Freedom Tapping, is one of the bright stars on the personal growth horizon. Once learned, it's a do-it-yourself method that anyone can use to feel better, clear lifelong difficulties and open doors to greater happiness and success in all areas of life. One of the most valuable and overlooked things to do to make your tapping therapy easy is to tune into your body while tapping. Emotions and the BodyYour body is where emotions are felt. When you experience an emotion it's the physical sensation that first informs you. This is an example:

You feel excited. How can you tell?

Your heart rate increases.

Your breathing moves into your chest.

Your stomach feels jittery. What to DoNotice that you're feeling a disturbing emotion. Get quiet and tune in to your body. Notice any places that feel tight, restricted or painful. Notice if your breath feels tight or relaxed. Begin tapping the points. Tap the eyebrow point, side of eye, under the eye, under the nose, chin, collarbone, under the arm and top of head.

It's not important how long long or short you tap. What is important is that you keep noticing who the emotion feels in your body while tapping. Tap a few rounds then stop to take a deep breath. Again, notice how your body feels.

If your belly was tight before and your breath was constricted, tune into your belly and chest. Notice your breath again.

If you the tapping brought you to a completely relaxed state, you're done! If not, tap more rounds. Again, pay attention to your body while tapping. When to Use this Body Tapping TechniqueThis is a great tapping technique to use when you want the benefits of tapping, but you're just too lazy. What if you're sometimes unsure of what to say while tapping? This is the process for those times. This tune in and tap method is also good for issues where your might get triggered with too much emotion if you visualize or think about the situation.
