To each, his or her, own dog. That statement might not make any sense to a person without a dog, but it is nonetheless true that all dog owners believe that their dog is the cutest, most adorable and the friendliest dog, etc.

The list is endless but let me cut it short by saying that I have a 10 month old American Eskimo puppy and it is the best, the most adorable, the most intellectually gifted and the most stand-up comedic dog in the world.

There are certain facts that you need to know if you want to become an owner of an American Eskimo dog. First of all it is important that you find out beforehand whether you really want to own an American Eskimo puppy.

If that is not the case you may be better off with a Boxer or an Afghan hound. Owning an American Eskimo puppy is not everybody's cup of tea, and finding out that it is an average shedder, for instance, is very important for people who are allergic to dog hairs.

It is also important to note that the coat of your American Eskimo puppy will need to be groomed on an average about twice a week normally, and about once a day when they are shedding.

It is important to realize that in case there is some kind of grooming lapse, then this breed will shed its un-brushed hair without any sort of compunction. So it is necessary to groom them well.

You will soon realise that the cute and adorable American Eskimo puppy you own is also quite intelligent and is one of those dogs that can be trained very easily. One thing that needs to be kept in mind is that they are a playful breed and need a regular exercise regime. As long as you remember to exercise it properly, your American Eskimo puppy will happily live and accustom itself to your apartment.
