Proheart For Dogs

There are various medical ailments that can affect your pet dog if not taken care of properly. Heartworm disease is a dangerous medical problem that can affect your dog, but thanks to medical science preventative and curative drugs are available easily to keep your pets away from this disease. Heartworm is known to be caused by mosquito bite.

If the mosquito carries the heartworm larvae, the larvae enter the pet's body through the bite and moves inside the body.

It can grow up to 12 inches long and settles in the heart, lungs and other parts of body.

The symptoms for heartworm could be loss of appetite, tiredness, vomiting, breathing difficulty and others. Medications like Proheart have proved to be a boon in the treatment and prevention of Heartworm. This drug consists of Moxidectin which affects the disease causing larvae resulting in its death.

It is available as a course for six months in the form of tablets, each packet contains six tablets one tablet has to be consumed each month.

The tablets are classified according to the weight of the dogs, Proheart Blue is for dogs under 10 kg, Proheart Green is for dogs under 11-22 kg, Proheart red is for dogs under 23-45 kg and Proheart Yellow is for dogs under 46-68 kg weight category.

They are safe for all breeds of dogs and are approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Proheart has shown a success rate of 99% in the prevention and cure of heartworm.

If you live in a mosquito prone area it is necessary to administer heartworm medications to prevent the ailment from affecting your dog. Consult your veterinarian to know if your pet is infected with the disease, and immediately start the treatment. Heartworm is curable with the right medications.
