Movies &Amp; Tv On The Internet(Legal Or Illegal)

It's impossible to believe that we've evolved from black & white films with men bouncing around on horses shooting blank pistols to what's now a change in technology that has gone down in history as an evolution of its own: 3D and HD. Now don't get me wrong, the classics will always be just that: Classics! We will never forget those John Wayne lines like, “Put it there, pilgrim. ” with that western accent that only us Americans could catch in a heartbeat. But let's face it, we're flipping pancakes over this new stuff like the latest 3D technology and HD! That would stand for “High Definition”. Now we talk about evolution and change. Did you ever think that one day you would be sitting in your living room or your office watching a blockbuster movie, not on your television set, but on your PC? 30 years ago dreaming of watching a movie of any kind on your computer system was ludicrous. But now we know that we can and just like when fresh meat is thrown into the sea and the sharks come running, when new technology is released into the market, again the sharks come running.

The sharks continue to feed off of the fresh meat thrown out to them and that fresh meat today is you and me. So out of all of this what are we talking about here? Well, you see, there's this software that allows you to watch thousands upon thousands of channels online from all over the world and these companies who have offered these softwares have figured out a way to cheat us once again and we have to be careful about this. So what parts are legal and what parts are not?

There is no problem whatsoever in watching a free movie on the net but there has been some consequences from investing in cheap or free softwares that allow you to see international programs on your PC.

These sharks, you see.

There was one company I tried that offered me 1,100 channels with just one program that I had to download. After buying the program I began receiving channels from all over the world like Portugal, Italy and even from countries in Africa.

I never counted to see if I was really receiving 1,100 channels nor did I even think to question the company on why at least a hundred of my channels would not illuminate when I hovered my pointer over the frequency or the station's ID. Now I won't mention any names because it would only cause problems with the company and this article is not design to point fingers but just to make you aware of some of the illegal practices a lot of these satellite tv companies are involved in. But check this out. When I finally decided to click on these faded channels another window opened telling me that in order to receive these channels I had to upgrade to a “silver. ” What? Okay, so the question is: At this point, is this company operating legally or illegally? It's the latter. Why? Because the company never stated anything about the options of upgrading to receive 1,100 channels in their promotional campaign.

The promo boasted that with the purchase of their software you was to receive 1,100 channels. Now, had they offered, for an example, an additional 200 channels when you upgraded to a “silver” that would have been fine and that would have been legal. But to have claimed something that just wasn't going to happen was clearly a trap ingeniously thought out to cheat their clients. But wait!

There was more! Within the 1000 channels that I was now receiving a few more problems arrived.

I couldn't watch all the programs that was broadcasting over the band because these channels were never transmitting or they were only operating on a pay-per-view basis! How many? 30 of them! Now if you know a bit of math, you would have already put 2 and 2 together. And even if you had not a clue to math it would not have taken an Einstein to know that I was now receiving less than 1000 channels when I started out at 1,100.

Illegal? Yes.

In every service that exist and for every product on the market there must be a “Term Of Use” And within this “Term Of Use”, which is normally located on the bottom of the product's web site, you should find stipulations, conditions, consequences, repercussions and any other defects or obligations, rather good or bad, that you could experience or would have to abide by when using or owning their products.

In this section I should have been informed about the pay-per-view and what channels were offering this service or at least given the amount of channels that were exercising this offer.

If there is a condition of any kind that could somehow effect the service or product from functioning at its full potential the client must be informed in the “Term Of Use” and they must have access to this section before reaching the obligations to buy the product. Otherwise the company is operating in an illegal manner. To be blunt, when it comes down to informing clients they must be treated like children: Taken by the hand and walked through the entire process. Though most companies would think that this is bad business practice, afraid that they would reveal too much, the consumer would probably trust the company more and purchase more products from them. Sometimes free or cheap is not always good.

I found that a good software that gives you satellite tv or live tv online should not cost no more than maybe $5
